  • ACM China SIGCSE Symposium and Council Meeting were Successfully Held at TURC 2023, July 29, 2023, in Wuhan, China

    ACM Turing Award Celebration Conference - China (ACM TURC 2023) was successfully held in Wuhan, China, on July 29, 2023. The computer science education symposium hosted by the China Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education (ACM SIGCSE China) was held in conjunction with TURC 2023. ACM SIGCSE China was established in 2016 to promote the internationalization of domestic computer education and provide a platform for computer educators to communicate. Since the first Turing Conference, SIGCSE China has continuously held five symposiums. The focus of this year’s symposium is centered around the theme “Competency Model in CS education.” The symposium is featured with 5 invited talks, 1 panel discussion, as well as 4 award speeches, including 2 from the SIGCSE Rising Stars and 2 from the SIGCSE Outstanding Dissertation recipients.

  • ACM China SIGCSE Symposium and Council Meeting were held successfully at TURC 2021, July 30-August 1, 2021, in Hefei, China

    ACM Turing Award Celebration Conference - China (ACM TURC 2021) was successfully held in Hefei, China, from July 30 to August 1, 2021, with the theme of AIoT, highlighting the characteristics of internationalization, intelligence and specialization. The computer science education symposium hosted by the China Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education (ACM SIGCSE China) was held in conjunction with TURC 2021. ACM SIGCSE China was established in 2016 to promote the internationalization of domestic computer education and provide a platform for computer educators to communicate. Since the first Turing Conference, SIGCSE China has continuously held four symposiums. This year symposium includes 5 invited talks, 1 panel discussion, and 10 paper presentations.

    The ACM TURC 2020 (SIGCSE China) Symposium is a leading international forum at the intersection of computer science and the learning sciences, seeking to improve practice and theories of CS education. ACM TURC 2020 (SIGCSE China) will be held in Hefei, China, May 23-24, 2020. We invite colleagues from around the world to contribute to, review for, and attend ACM TURC 2020 (SIGCSE China). We encourage you to share your new ideas for computing syllabi, laboratories, teaching, pedagogy, and education research.

  • ACM China SIGCSE Symposiums and Council Meeting were held successfully at TURC 2021, July 30-August 1, 2021, in Hefei, China

    ACM China SIGCSE Chapter successfully held the first ACM Global Computing Education Conference (CompEd) on May 17-19, 2019, in Chengdu, China, in conjunction with this year ACM China Turing Award Celebration Conference (TURC). At the intersection of computing and the learning sciences, CompEd is destined to be the leading global conference towards the development of computing education around the globe. This year CompEd was co-chaired by Professor Ming Zhang, the Chair of ACM China SIGCSE Chapter, and Professor Bo Yang, from Linyi University, China. Local co-chairs are Professor Xi Wu and Professor Juan Chen. More than 200 participants, including 99 from 11 different countries including China, were attracted to register this year event.

  • SIGCSE China symposium at TURC 2019

    The ACM Turing Celebration Conference - China (ACM TURC 2019), was held from May 17-19, 2019 at Chengdu, China, with its key theme on "Interconnected, Inspired, intelligent". The conference serves as a highly selective and premier international forum on computer science research. Domestic and international academic experts and professors, including some ACM Turing Award winners, shared their perspectives on cutting-edge technologies and discussed the frontier issues in today's society as well as the interdisciplinary development trends together.
    ACM SIGCSE China had successfully hosted the SIGCSE China Forum during the ACM Turing Conference 2019. The SIGCSE China Forum was held on May 18 and 19, in conjunction with the ACM CompEd 2019 Conference. CompEd 2019, or ACM Global Computing Education Conference, is the fourth international high-level conference sponsored by ACM SIGCSE (17-19 May). The scale and influence of the conference are enormous. CompEd 2019 is the first International Conference on Computer Education organized by SIGCSE in China, which greatly promoted the research and exchange of computer education worldwide. ACM SIGCSE China supported and acted as one of the main contributors for CompEd 2019.
